Who’d have known your stomach could double as a camera?
Two UK students, Josh Lake and Luke Evans, ate 35mm film and were able to process photos after the film, erm, came out!
Students Make Photos by Eating 35mm Film
In the category most bizzarre/interesting/unexpected/kinda cool things on my dash today:
As part of a final project for a photography class, two students at Kingston University in the UK swallowed 35mm film and let their internal organs do the heavy lifiting for them. After “collecting” the slides in a dark room, they fixed the silver and scanned the film with an electron microscope. The result is quite lovely.
Admittedly, when equipped with an electron microscope, it’s almost more difficult to produce an image that isn’t beautiful. But the entire process of creating these images, and the unorthodox way in which the body is used adds a fun little twist to the finished product.
Hah, I suppose the thing about having an electron microscope is true.. but anyways, still cool/weird/stuff.
